The 2011 Pinnacle Awards sponsored by the Marble Institute of America has bestowed upon MARMOL EXPORT, USA (Miami, FL) an Award of Merit for its work at the Mr. Chow Restaurant at the W Hotel South Beach, Miami Beach, FL.

MIAMI, FL, January 29, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- MARMOL EXPORT, U.S.A. is a south Florida importer, distributor, and wholesaler of natural stone sourced from around the world. Having been in business for over 25 years, Marmol has diversified its services to include project management and installation. Throughout the years the company has successfully completed projects from small residences to large public facilities, such as banks and office buildings including Town Center One at Dadeland and Downtown Doral.

One of the latest projects to be completed, Mr. Chow Restaurant has been recognized by the Stone industry as an example of the beauty, creativity, ingenuity, and craftsmanship that can be achieved through the use of designing with Natural Stone. The intricacy of mounting the material on columns created a monochromatic checkerboard pattern with every other tile raised; thus creating a relief effect. This made the tiles look as if they were floating on top of each other. The material used for the project was Crema Beida (a beige limestone from Spain).

Since 1999, the Pinnacle Awards are an annual event to recognize those entities which exemplify professional mastery in the use of natural stone in the commercial and residential environments. Several awards of Merit and of Excellence are given out for commercial or residential, interiors and exteriors with one entry winning the Grand Pinnacle Award presented at StonExpo annual convention.
